Lighthouse

We sailed next to this light house in santa cruz. It stood stoic, firmly guiding every boat that went past. No rest. No discrimination. It was standing firm and saying I am here for you all. I wish everyone was like that. This pastel painting has so many contrasting elements - rocks meet water, white meets dark, curves meet straight, people meet sand.
