Lone Lily 2023

Dignified and happy alone, is the feeling that Lily portrayed to me before I started the painting. I have tried to capture the joy within the lily through the use of yellow. Quiet dignity is shown amongst the chaos of lily pod leaves. The pond is a mix of mauve and black, light and dark, a metaphor for easy and tough life.
